My Disease
A complex congenital heart malformation was discovered very soon after my birth:

- TRANSPOSITION OF GREAT ARTERIES
- PULMONARY ARTERY BANDING
- TRICUSPID INSUFFICIENCY GR. III
- PULMONARY HYPERTENSION
- SPASMUL HOHOTULUI DE PLANS
- PONDERAL HYPOTROPHY
We went to "Emilia Irza" Children's Hospital and to The Central Military Hospital in Bucharest, to "Bega 2" Pediatric Hospital in Timisoara, then to IBCvT (Cardiovascular Diseases and Transplant Institute) in Targu Mures - where they performed a thoracic surgery: Pulmonary Artery Banding, unfortunately not quite a success and now the evolution state surpassed the Romanian doctors abilities so the specialists advised us to search solutions abroad.
We sent the analysis and diagnosis results to several clinics in France and Belgium, we were accepted only by Saint Luc clinic from Brussels, where they are highly trained and specialized in this type of treatments.
Professor Sluysmans from Louvain Catholic University, Belgium, kindly responded our requests. He accepted us as possible patients and sent us a financial evaluation of all the services involved for Matei's therapy.
